There are times when Bebé does not want to eat his dinner, and I always have a few "go to" foods. Most of the time PB&J sandwich, oatmeal, rice, or broccoli will work 80% of the time. His absolute favorite has to be a fruit smoothie and works 100% of the time. Since it's my favorite too, I always make enough for all three of us. The best part is that it's healthy, cheap, and so sweet.
FRUIT SMOOTHIE
servings: about 4 cups
1 cup yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1 banana
1 cup berry mix frozen fruit
1 cup apple juice
honey
In a blender, add yogurt, banana, frozen fruit, and apple juice. Begin to blend on a low setting and work up to puree setting.
Add honey to taste.
TIP#1: Fruit juice and frozen fruit can be swapped for what is available or for personal preferences.
TIP#2: Additional juice may be needed to thin out smoothie to desired consistency.
